Vicious Engine is a proprietary, cross-platform game engine created by Vicious Cycle Software. Built to ship commercial titles across sixth- and seventh‑generation consoles and handhelds, it provided an end‑to‑end toolchain covering rendering, animation, physics, AI, audio, and asset management, with editors geared toward rapid content iteration. A major update, Vicious Engine 2, expanded features and performance for contemporary systems such as PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The technology powered multiple releases from Vicious Cycle and external licensees. Although the engine is no longer maintained following the studio’s closure, it remains notable for its approachable workflow and broad platform support during its active years.
Vicious Engine is developed by VMSoftwares Production. The most popular version of this product among our users is 2.0.
